There was a girl in our high school who wasn't a girl.  She wore red lips and heels.  Watching her walk was like being on a small boat at sea.   You had your fantasies about her but you didn't share them.  You couldn't even say her name.  If you pictured her naked you'd be hospitalized. I thought about her many years later and mostly felt bad for the teachers.  She was not of this world and maybe she knew it.
